I am an experienced coach, practising coaching in leadership and education for over 12 years. Trained by Dr. Neil Suggett, CBE, PhD. I have found coaching to be the most powerful of all my leadership and life tools and have invested in the coaching approach in every aspect my life, practicing self-coaching to address my own challenges, as well as supporting colleagues and employees and now with HWAM, coaching ,my clients through their menopause journeys.
Choosing HWAM Menopause Coaching will help you to reflect on your current menopause journey and state of wellbeing and identify any changes that may be needed. The purpose of coaching is to help you to make the changes you want to see.
HWAM Menopause Coaching:
- focuses on the present and future possibilities, not on past issues, habits or mistakes;
- is a non-directive approach where you choose the agenda;
- is goal-centred and leads to action, helping you to take responsibility for your menopause.
HWAM Menopause Coaching is about you investing in your ‘self’. It focusses on you and your menopause journey, and on your health and wellbeing now and in the future. It’s about you being in control of your menopause journey and getting the right help and information you need in order to live a life that is as long, healthy and fulfilling as possible.
How does HWAM Menopause Coaching work?
It all begins with your reality of your current menopause situation and you setting a goal with my support. Together, we will design and implement a first plan of action and you will be empowered to take ownership of your menopause journey and address current problems or menopause symptoms as I provide you with a wealth of accurate information, suggestions and support.
Menopause can come at a time of life when we face many other challenges. This time is often referred to as ‘the sandwich generation’, where women find themselves in the middle of challenging situations, such as supporting our children as well as our parents or in-laws. Add to that running a home and all that entails, holding down a job or career as well as maintaining or establishing friendships and relationships into the mix, and you soon find that you have very little time left for looking after yourself . It’s unsurprising that many women just put up with their menopause symptoms, feeling that this is a time they just need to get through because they don’t have the time or energy to do anything about it. But I believe this shouldn’t be the case.
The important thing to realise, is that menopause can not only effect us now, in terms of symptoms due to hormonal changes, but how those hormonal changes can effect our long-term health – and I’m not just talking about our skin and hair here, I’m talking heart and bone health too! These days, we are living longer, we are working more and we should put our mental and physical health and wellbeing first, so that we are in a better position to manage symptoms, stay healthy, enjoy life’s pleasures and help ourselves and those we love most, for longer.
Menopause gives us the opportunity to reflect on our lifestyle choices, our health and wellbeing, and how we want to live our lives. Sometimes menopause is described as our second spring and I believe we should take the opportunity that menopause offers us, tending to our lives now and reaping the many benefits for years to come.

Manage your menopause with support
Through HWAM Menopause Coaching, I will help you set a goal and find possible courses of action with accurate information, together with helpful and inspiring resources, all the while keeping your unique and personal menopause journey at the centre of the coaching conversation.
Verbalising your thoughts through a coaching conversation helps you to think more clearly. I will listen carefully and objectively, asking you questions which will help you identify specific problems or symptoms and develop a potential strategy to find sustainable solutions and move forward.
Through my coaching programmes, I will follow your agenda through mindful questioning – a key element of the coaching conversation, pushing you to dig deeper and encouraging your commitment to making the changes you want to see.
You will direct the conversation and my questions will follow your direction. I will gain the facts, explore your motivation, decisions and priorities and invite you to consider what is possible, guiding you all the way.
Together, we will explore those options which are open to you and finally I will help you to make choices about which actions you want to take.
If you require further coaching conversations, I will check in with how you are doing and what you’ve achieved and support you with your action steps.

Coaching is about giving you airtime; providing you with attentive listening; asking you key questions; exploring your situation; generating options and supporting and encouraging you to take action for you now and for your future wellbeing.
My role as a Menopause Coach is not to direct you, but to inform you and offer you ideas by making multiple suggestions, then asking you to choose what feels right for you.
At the end of the HWAM Coaching Programme, you will know exactly what actions you want to take. You will be committed to taking these actions which will have been broken down into a unique time-line for you and I will be available for further support and guidance if needed.
Your Personalised Menopause Plan will contain only those actions which you have chosen to take and which will support you to achieve your goal, through manageable steps, throughout your menopause journey.
I will be your coaching conversation partner, offering you quality listening and encouragement, in order to keep you energised and motivated.
Finally, we will celebrate your achievements – one step at a time – as you flourish in this next chapter of life!
But keep in mind that habits take about six weeks to change. This is why my coaching packages are offered as 1:1s, in either three 45-minute fortnightly sessions, spread over six weeks, or as more in-depth 1:1s or group fortnightly sessions spread over 14 weeks with additional resources.
1:1 Online Coaching Programme Package:
The 1:1 Coaching Programme combines confidential coaching sessions with goal-setting and supported manageable strategies.
This package includes three 45-minute online confidential coaching sessions. You will receive notes following each coaching session and a Personalised Menopause Plan with follow-up email support. In addition you will have membership to the HWAM Private Facebook Group for further support and discussions on a range of women’s health topics.
Sessions are fortnightly, and are 45 minutes in length, spread out over a 6-week period to fit in with your schedule.
The 7-Step Programme Online Coaching Package – either 1:1 or group options available:
The 7-Step Programme Package combines confidential coaching sessions with goal-setting and supported manageable strategies. It comprises 7 steps:

- Step 4: Explore
- Step 5: Action
- Step 6: Flourish
This package includes three 45-minute confidential online coaching sessions, an introduction to menopause journalling, smart self-help resources, delicious and nutritious recipes, and exclusive HWAM membership, providing a menu of HWAM videos which give detailed information to deepen your understanding about the different menopause stages, terminology, hormone functions and lifestyle changes as well has how to manage symptoms. It also signposts you to further help, support and advice if required. In addition, you will have membership to the HWAM Private Facebook Group for further support and discussions on a range of topics.
Sessions are fortnightly, and are 45 minutes in length, spread out over a 14-week period to fit in with your schedule. This is offered as a 1:1 package or to groups of two women or more, where the cost is spread and may be more affordable.
1:1 One-off Online Coaching Session
The 1:1 One-off Coaching Package combines a confidential coaching session with goal-setting and supported manageable strategies.
This package includes one 1-hour online confidential coaching session. You will receive notes following the session and a Personalised Menopause Plan with follow-up email support.
